Both Shiatsu and Thai massage use pressure point and stretching technique are based on both modern Western medical knowledge and 4000-year-old Eastern medical theories. It is used to stimulate the nervous system and bring balance to the body’s energy system known as the Meridians System.
Unlike Western Massage, Shiatsu and Thai Massage use no oils; instead they are done over the clothing, usually with the client lying on a floor mat. Shiatsu can also be done on a massage table or chair.
Shiatsu therapists’ use gentle rocking and stretching throughout the treatment and while using specific thumb pressure. Therapist may also use their, hands, elbows, knees and/or feet to applied the treatment to clients body.
Thai Massage Therapists uses yoga type stretching while applying broad pressure with the palm of the hands.

This treatment begins with a meridian energy assessment. Then the stones are placed on various energy centers of the body. The small stones are then used to apply pressure to the meridian. The heat and magnetic properties of the stones help bring the body to a deep state of relaxation.
